![]() You can point octoprint at this IP address for video and snapshots. You can install the app called "IP Webcam" which turns the phone camera into a webcam. I'll also suggest trying it with an old phone you may have sitting in a drawer. There may be a way to have it only use snapshots and be okay though. ![]() Mine was up to like 50-60% all the time with one camera going, and it definitely affected octoprint and made the print all jittery because the serial wasn't keeping up. Unfortunately it will probably use up a lot of the Pi's processing power to sort through the videos. My personal go-to camera for my OctoPrint instances has been the Logitech C270 now for several years - yes, that costs more, but it supports mjpg natively, is truly plug and play and also has been rock solid, running months on end. The video format that the ps eye and certain other usb cameras provide is different from the pi camera. Careful with cameras that do not support mjpg natively. ![]() I won't be the best to help you with the linux and installation issues, but wanted to give a quick word of warning after I got mine running the a ps eye camera. ![]()
